About Me

Hi! I'm Juan Carranza, an electronics engineer fascinated by building things that work. Ever since I first learned how to solder, there's been something deeply satisfying about taking an idea from a schematic to a physical, functioning device.

My main interests are electronics design, robotics, and programming. I enjoy working across the full stack of embedded systems: from schematic capture and PCB layout, to firmware, to the higher-level software that makes it all useful. I like the moments where hardware and software meet.

Robotics is where a lot of those interests come together. Whether it's a simple line-follower or a more complex autonomous system, there's always something new to learn about control, sensing, and mechanical design.

I also have a 3D printer, which has become an essential part of my workflow for prototyping enclosures, brackets, and custom parts. It's changed how I approach building things — being able to design and print a part the same day removes a huge barrier.

This site is where I document what I'm working on, share things I've learned, and occasionally write about topics I find interesting. Feel free to reach out through GitHub.
